Holywood Greenhouse Garden

Greenhouse Garden

This garden fronts on to an existing Greenhouse.  The garden is level and gets full sun for the majority of the day. It is bounded by a tall hedge on its Western side and by other buildings on the Eastern side. It is a garden primarily for cut flowers and herbs but with the added interest of ornamental shrubs and trees. It also has seating areas and  I have added a small watercourse which terminates in a natural pond. The garden takes some of its inspiration from Dan Pearson’s Gold Medal winning Chelsea garden, in the form of it naturalistic use of large rocks and the presence of water.

This is a compact sensory garden where the smells of flowers and herbs mingle with the soft sounds of moving water and where the sitter can experience a sense of peace and calm.
